Architectural Fencing Systems – Product Overview
Bright Balustrading’s range of architectural fencing solutions is designed to provide privacy, safety, and design consistency across balconies, perimeters, and shared spaces. Our fencing systems integrate seamlessly with balustrades, privacy screens, and structural frameworks to deliver visually coherent and performance-compliant outcomes.
Manufactured using high-grade aluminium with architectural powder coated finishes, these systems are engineered to resist corrosion, enhance visual privacy, and provide effective barriers for residential and commercial environments alike.
Fencing Categories Offered
- Aluminium Slat & Louvre Infill Fencing and Balustrades
Horizontal or vertical slat panels louvres installed between posts or frames. Offers airflow and partial screening with a clean architectural finish. Ideal for balcony balustrades, boundary fencing, and integrated barrier solutions. Louvres can be fixed or operable depending on the application. - Balcony Privacy Screens
Custom-fabricated privacy screens to shield balconies, courtyards, or decks from overlooking and sun exposure. Available in slatted, solid, louvred, or perforated panel designs — often integrated with balustrades or structural support frames. - Security Fencing
High-strength aluminium or steel fencing designed to restrict access and improve boundary security while maintaining architectural presentation. Suitable for schools, commercial premises, and residential complexes. Often includes anti-climb features and reinforced post systems.
Compliance & Standards
All fencing systems are designed and installed to comply with the National Construction Code (NCC/BCA 2022), including:
- B1D4 – Structural requirements for barriers, fencing, and screens
- D3D17 to D3D22 – Access and protection of openings and public access areas (where applicable)
- F5.2 – Privacy requirements between adjacent properties (where planning overlays apply)
They are manufactured and installed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, including:
- AS/NZS 1170.0:2002 – Structural Design Actions (General Principles)
- AS/NZS 1170.1:2002 – Structural Design Actions (Permanent, Imposed and Other Actions)
- AS/NZS 1170.2:2021 – Wind Actions (especially for screens and fences exposed to uplift or lateral loads)
- AS1926.1 – Safety Barriers for Pools (if fencing is installed within pool zones)
- AS/NZS 2312.2 – Durability of protective coatings for aluminium and steel components
Performance
Our fencing and screening systems are engineered and fabricated to meet the following performance criteria:
- Wind load performance tested in accordance with AS1170.2
- Line load resistance (where fencing doubles as a balustrade or elevated barrier)
- Privacy efficiency measured through slat spacing, louvre angle, and screen density
- Corrosion resistance using architectural-grade powder coatings over marine-grade aluminium
- Low maintenance with non-rusting frames, concealed fixings, and UV-stable finishes
- Security performance for access-restricted areas via height, rigidity, and anti-climb design features
Bright Balustrading’s architectural fencing systems provide a refined and practical solution for perimeter control, visual screening, and privacy management. Whether it’s a rooftop terrace, a balcony divider, or a high-security site boundary, our aluminium fencing range delivers safety, longevity, and style.
